BOONEVILLE, MS — The Booneville School District has officially announced the hiring of Adam Mauney as the new head volleyball coach at Booneville High School, bringing a championship pedigree and a history of success to the Lady Blue Devils program.
A graduate of Pine Grove High School, Mauney arrives in Booneville after serving as the head volleyball coach at Pine Grove for the past three seasons. In his first season at the helm in 2023, Mauney led the Lady Panthers to a remarkable year that included 20+ wins, a district championship, a Tippah County Tournament title, and a 2023 state championship.
Before his time at Pine Grove, Mauney spent four years at Hickory Flat High School. From 2018 to 2020, he served as an assistant volleyball coach, helping guide the Lady Rebels to a 1A State Runner-Up finish in 2020. He was promoted to head coach in 2021 and quickly made his mark, leading Hickory Flat to a 1A State Championship.
Mauney’s track record of building winning programs and competing at the highest level makes him a strong addition to Booneville High School athletics.
Off the court, Mauney recently married Maria Lauderdale Mauney, who serves as an assistant basketball coach at Booneville High School. The couple resides in Booneville, further strengthening their ties to the local community.
The Lady Blue Devils are coming off a competitive 2025 season in which they advanced to the third round of the MHSAA 3A playoffs. Booneville pushed Kossuth to five sets on the road before falling in a hard-fought 3-2 match, finishing the season with a 13-12 overall record.
With a talented roster returning and a championship-caliber coach now at the helm, excitement is building for the future of Booneville volleyball.
Booneville High School welcomes Adam Mauney as the new head volleyball coach and looks forward to continued growth and success for the Lady Blue Devils program.
