Booneville opened the scoring in the first after Porter Tapp drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the top of the second inning, Pine Grove went back into the lead after Weston Micheal singled to center field, and Coy Childs grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Booneville jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Easton Field walked, Kylin Leslie hit a sacrifice fly, Pine Grove committed an error, Porter Tapp singled, Bennett Geno walked, and Knox Houston grounded out, each scoring one run.
Booneville added one run in the third after they scored on a passed ball.
Booneville scored eight runs on one hit in the bottom of the fourth inning. Houston was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Corbin White drew a walk, scoring one run, Ayden Jones induced Jack Sandlin to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Field was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Colin Flurry drew a walk, scoring one run, Jacob Matthews singled, scoring two runs, and Jones induced Geno to hit into another fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Cade Lott started on the bump for Booneville. The hurler allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Taylon Wilkerson stepped on the bump first for Pine Grove. The hurler allowed two hits and seven runs (four earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking four. John Greyson Pharr tossed two innings of shutout ball for Booneville in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out five and walking one.
